Pat compares being self employed with training for sports (He really loves comparisons) and gives five ways how to remind yourself not not quit either:
- Remember why you are doing it! ... you have a goal/reason, that should be motivating ...
- Don't allow back doors which allow quitting without loosing face ...
- Tell someone your plans so it would be embarrassing to quit ...
- Set a deadline, against which you can work and see if you reached your goals in time ...
- Find people with similar goals, which can support and motivate you ...
